2016 at Tastetech

2016 has been another fantastic year full of opportunities here at TasteTech and 2017 is shaping up to be even more exciting.

Innovation at the heart of TasteTech

Launched in 2016, flavour8 is the latest innovation in flavouring technology from TasteTech that promises to revolutionise the way flavourings are used in chocolate, toffee and more. This new powder flavouring technology will enable chocolate manufacturers to use strong oils without aroma in the finished product or contaminating the manufacturing plant.

Hard earned success

When asked about how 2016 has gone for TasteTech in terms of sales, Rob McCarthy (Head of Sales and Marketing, TasteTech) has this to say:

“It’s been a successful year on the sales front with good levels of growth across all our major markets. Flavour business within the Sports Nutrition industry has gone from strength to strength as we help our customers develop new and exciting flavour combinations. There was also excellent growth in sales of encapsulated sweeteners and acids as more chewing gum manufacturers experience the true benefits of our technology when it comes to extending the chew-time of their gum.”

“Finally, it was once again a truly global year in terms of sales. In 2016 we sold to over 40 countries worldwide with new destinations such as Nigeria coming on board. We look forward to growing our global footprint even further in 2017.“

Out and about

We attended some fantastic events in 2016 including Food Matters Live, London Chocolate Forum, Camden Bakery Conference, Chocovision, ISM, Gulfood and more. Whether we have a stand or are just visiting, these events are always a brilliant opportunity for us to meet our customers and prospects and keep an eye on industry trends. If there is an event coming up where you would like to meet someone from the TasteTech team, then please get in touch.

25 years of TasteTech

With so much going on this year, 2016 will be hard to top. However, with the biggest Food Ingredients Exhibition in Europe taking place in November and several social events planned to celebrate our 25th year we are expecting 2017 to be even busier than ever.

And that is not all because, early in 2017, we are delighted and proud to invite our local MEP to officially open our new cutting edge bakery applications laboratory. This will enable our team of expert bakery technologists to better assist our customers in getting the best out of our fantastic products, as well as give us the facilities to develop new products and to help us solve some of the technical challenges faced by the bakery market.
