Janis Sinton
Managing Director

Janis Sinton

Janis and her husband, Roger, founded TasteTech together in 1992 when Roger identified a niche in the food flavourings and ingredients market for microencapsulation technology. It became the foundation of a business plan which saw them build a successful company together until Roger’s sudden death in 2007.

Building on her deep understanding of the business, Janis took over the reins as managing director and set herself and the TasteTech team a challenging goal: to double the size, turnover and profitability of the company within five years. We’re proud to say that we not only reached but exceeded that target with a turnover of over £5 million in 2012.

After such leadership, it was no surprise to us that in November 2012, Janis was awarded The NatWest Everywoman Hera Award for the most inspirational woman running a business that has been trading for 12 years or more.

Today, Janis continues to lead our growing but still independent family-owned business with a primary focus on meeting customer needs and remaining at the forefront of innovation.

When Janis isn't driving the business forward, she can be found teeing off at her local golf club, walking or playing bridge with her friends, or cheering from the side line at Clifton Ladies Hockey Club where she also chairs the committee.
